I attached this large canvas to the ceiling above a staircase in my home. When someone looks up, the birds seem to be flying overhead. I took the original photograph of these seagulls riding the wind flow in Morro Bay.

Hollister Peak is one of “The Nine Sisters” (as is Morro Rock) of volcanic plugs. I took the source photo during a short hike on Black Mountain just outside of town in Morro Bay. Our path eventually rolled around to the right where we had a great view of the sunset on Morro Rock (not shown—yet!).
